About the role
The Duty Manager will oversee the Front Office operations at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi, ensuring seamless guest experiences and supporting the overall hotel functions. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, this role steps in to lead the team in the manager’s absence and collaborates with other departments to maintain high service standards.
Key responsibilities
- Support and assist all Front Office sections, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, and Butler teams on Front Office matters.
- Monitor daily arrivals, guest needs, and room availability, handling walk‑ins and departures efficiently.
- Verify reservation procedures, billing instructions, and guest credit accuracy.
- Follow up on any room discrepancies with Housekeeping and resolve related issues.
- Maintain departmental standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance.
- Promote in‑house sales and facilities to maximize hotel revenue.
Required profile
- Experience in Front Office operations within a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to deliver personalized guest recognition and problem resolution.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with multiple hotel departments.
- Attention to detail in managing reservations, billing, and guest credit information.
