Duty Manager

About the role

The Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Front Office team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. Reporting to the Front Office Manager, you will act as the on‑site leader when the manager is absent, ensuring smooth operations across all guest‑service areas.

Key responsibilities

• Support and assist all Front Office sections, including reception, concierge and bell desk.
• Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous service and resolve any issues swiftly.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales and Butler teams on matters affecting guest rooms and services.
• Review daily arrivals, familiarize yourself with guest profiles and anticipate special requirements.
• Manage walk‑in room availability and monitor departure times.
• Follow up with Housekeeping to resolve any room discrepancies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front‑office or guest‑service roles within a luxury hotel environment.
• Ability to lead the team in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
• Fluency in German is essential.
• Demonstrates integrity, respect and a growth‑mindset.
