Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager will lead daily hotel operations at Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort, ensuring seamless service across all departments. Reporting directly to senior management, this role requires decisive action, guest‑focused problem solving, and the ability to motivate a diverse team during assigned shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support operational teams across all departments, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Lead daily operations during assigned shifts, handling guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
• Conduct team briefings and departmental meetings to communicate updates, policies, and procedures.
• Make decisive operational decisions, manage crisis situations, and prioritize guest safety.
• Monitor operational metrics, revenue reconciliation, and financial procedures to support organizational goals.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure smooth, integrated guest experiences.
• Assist with roster preparation, scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, and performance development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, privacy regulations, and company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality operations or hotel management.
• Proven experience in shift management and team supervision in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, crisis‑management, and financial acumen.
• Ability to work flexible 24/7 roster schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Property Management Systems (PMS) and hotel operational software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Microsoft Office suite.
