EEG Electro‑Neurodiagnostics Technician (Locum)

About the role

The EEG Electro‑Neurodiagnostics Technician provides short‑term (3‑month) locum support to record and monitor patients' brain electrical activity. The role involves preparing patients, operating and maintaining EEG equipment, and assisting physicians during neurodiagnostic investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized EEG examinations according to physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Explain the procedure, obtain consent, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the study.
• Apply electrodes and monitoring equipment accurately, calibrate and troubleshoot EEG devices.
• Monitor patients for clinical events, including seizure activity, and respond appropriately.
• Document findings, maintain accurate records, and assist physicians with interpretation.
• Conduct activation procedures such as hyperventilation and photic stimulation when indicated.
• Perform regular equipment checks, clean and disinfect all accessories, and report technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in EEG Technology, Neurophysiology, or related field.
• Valid DHA eligibility/license and appropriate visa (sponsor, residence, golden, or spouse) for a temporary assignment.
• Previous experience in a hospital or neurodiagnostic setting is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with neurologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
