EHS Manager – Roads & Infrastructure (Dubai)

About the role

The EHS Manager will lead all Environment, Health & Safety activities for a major roads EPC project in Dubai. This role ensures compliance with UAE regulations, Dubai Municipality, RTA standards, and L&T internal policies while fostering a proactive safety culture across the project.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor a project‑specific EHS Management Plan aligned with L&T policies, UAE regulations and RTA requirements.
• Oversee safety for road construction, highway development, excavation, asphalt paving, concrete works, heavy equipment movement and traffic management.
• Review and approve risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses and Method Statements for high‑risk activities.
• Coordinate with RTA, client teams, consultants and authorities for inspections, audits and corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
• Manage and mentor the on‑site EHS team, conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Monitor subcontractor compliance, inductions, training and PPE usage.
• Ensure environmental controls for dust, noise, waste, emissions and spill prevention.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of EHS management experience in construction, roads or infrastructure EPC projects.
• Prior hands‑on experience on RTA projects in Dubai with proven knowledge of RTA safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and incident investigation skills.
• B.E./B.Tech in Engineering plus Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety or equivalent.
• NEBOSH IGC or equivalent certification preferred.
