EHSMS Officer

About the role

The EHSMS Officer will lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the Environmental Health and Safety Management System for Anantara The Palm Dubai Resort. This role ensures compliance with local regulations, international standards and promotes a strong safety culture across all operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the EHS Management System for both properties.
• Ensure compliance with UAE legislation, Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense and ISO 14001 & 45001 standards.
• Lead internal audits, risk assessments, management reviews and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents, manage contractor safety, permit‑to‑work, PPE, MSDS and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct inspections covering food safety, water quality, pool safety, pest control and safe work practices.
• Deliver safety inductions, emergency drills, first‑aid and EHS training.
• Maintain EHS documentation, prepare KPI reports and support ESG and sustainability initiatives.
• Drive programs to reduce energy, water and waste consumption.
• Coordinate safety committees and departmental safety representatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in developing and managing EHS systems within a hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of UAE health, safety and environmental legislation.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ability to lead audits, risk assessments and corrective action processes.
