Electrical BIM Modeler

About the role

BIMLORD, a Dubai‑based BIM and digital engineering services firm, is looking for an Electrical BIM Modeler to create accurate electrical building services models and documentation for construction and engineering projects. The role works closely with engineers, architects and other BIM disciplines to deliver coordinated, constructible and information‑rich project deliverables.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update electrical BIM models for power, lighting, containment, low‑current and related building services systems.
• Develop coordinated layouts, shop drawings, schedules, sections and details from design information.
• Review models and drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability and compliance with project standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and resolve clashes with architectural, structural, mechanical and plumbing models.
• Apply BIM execution plans, naming conventions, model standards and document control procedures.
• Support quantity extraction, design revisions, as‑built updates and submission activities.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP, especially electrical modeling and documentation.
• Practical understanding of electrical systems, layouts, symbols, equipment, cable containment, lighting, power and low‑current services.
• Ability to interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, schedules and engineering mark‑ups.
• Experience using Navisworks or comparable coordination tools for model review and clash detection.
• Competence in AutoCAD and familiarity with BIM collaboration, model federation and issue‑tracking workflows.
