Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their Dubai team, focusing on water treatment plant projects, firefighting systems, and environmental services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical technical submittals, including single line diagrams, schematics, BOQs, cable sizing, load schedules, lighting, earthing, and shop drawings.
• Prepare and execute electrical test forms such as FAT, SAT, Megger, continuity, loop, functional, and earthing tests.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, instrumentation, automation, and drafting teams to develop comprehensive electrical designs.
• Support proposal, production, and operations teams and manage supplier RFQs, negotiations, and technical meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of regional experience in electrical design and technical submittal preparation for industrial applications.
• Strong knowledge of local regulations and authority requirements (DEWA, DM, ADDC).
• Experience in water/wastewater or similar industrial projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design tools.
• Knowledge of electrical components such as MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and power distribution panels.
• Expertise in electrical testing procedures and test form preparation.
