Electrical Engineer – Construction Supervision

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead construction supervision and quality control for electrical works on roads, bridges, underpasses and related infrastructure across the United Arab Emirates. This role ensures installations meet design, specification and authority requirements while coordinating closely with civil, structural and mechanical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installations including street lighting, LV cable networks, lighting control systems and architectural lighting.
• Develop and implement inspection and test procedures in line with the project quality plan.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and ITPs for all electrical components.
• Witness testing, commissioning and energisation activities and verify compliance.
• Coordinate with DEWA and other authorities for supply connections, inspections and NOC approvals.
• Participate in stakeholder coordination meetings to resolve interface issues and service diversions.
• Ensure proper sequencing of electrical work with civil and structural schedules.
• Maintain inspection records, progress logs and support punch‑list preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the UAE on roads and infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience supervising electrical works for bridges, roads and related infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of local authority requirements and coordination processes.
