Electrical Engineer - Design

About the role

Join Artelia as an Electrical Engineer delivering design and supervision for complex infrastructure projects in the UAE, ensuring compliance with local authority codes and aviation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the electrical design lifecycle from concept to tender-ready documentation using Revit, AutoCAD and AI design platforms.
• Design MV/LV power distribution, backup systems, lighting, fire alarms, BMS/SCADA, Solar PV and EV charging infrastructures.
• Perform load calculations, short‑circuit, voltage‑drop and protection coordination studies with ETAP or equivalent.
• Ensure aviation electrical systems meet IATA ADRM and ICAO Annex standards.
• Supervise on‑site installations, review shop drawings, material submittals and conduct field audits.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of electrical design experience, including 3+ years on BIM‑enabled projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Active membership with the UAE Society of Engineers and eligibility for an Abu Dhabi engineering licence.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Revit (BIM), AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360.
• ETAP (or similar simulation software), Dialux, Amtech.
• Knowledge of GCC/UAE authority codes (DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, SEC) and international standards (British Standards, NFPA, IEC).
