Electrical Engineer – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Electrical Engineer to supervise and inspect electrical works on large‑scale infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will ensure that LV/HV networks, street lighting, power distribution and telecom ducts are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect all electrical works related to infrastructure projects, including LV/HV networks, street lighting, power distribution, telecom ducts, and associated works.
• Review and comment on electrical shop drawings, material submittals and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams to align electrical activities with civil and mechanical construction schedules.
• Monitor installation, testing and commissioning of electrical systems, verifying insulation resistance, continuity and load tests.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, document inspections and support final handover to authorities.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical works on infrastructure projects and coordinating with contractors and authorities such as DEWA, Etisalat, DU, RTA and DM.
• Strong knowledge of local codes and standards for LV/HV networks, street lighting and telecom utilities.
• Ability to produce and review as‑built drawings, manage non‑conformances and ensure HSE compliance.
