Electrical Engineer – Site Engineer (PV)

About the role

The Site Engineer – Electrical (PV) will lead all electrical activities for a large‑scale solar power plant in Abu Dhabi. You will ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of electrical installations, aligning with design specifications and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all on‑site electrical engineering activities, including installation of inverters, transformers, cabling, PV panels and grid connections.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, HSE regulations and local authorities.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and project management teams for seamless system integration.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders to guarantee timely delivery of components.
• Prepare regular progress reports for the project manager and proactively resolve electrical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 6–12 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years on solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of large‑scale solar power plant electrical systems.
