Electrical Engineer - Street Lighting & RTA Works

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to supervise electrical works for roads, bridges, underpasses and associated infrastructure, including street lighting, feeder pillars, LV cable networks, lighting control systems and architectural lighting. The role covers construction supervision, quality control, stakeholder coordination and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical works so that installations comply with approved designs, specifications and authority requirements
• Develop and run inspection and test procedures per the project quality plan, and review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and ITPs
• Witness and verify testing, commissioning and energization of electrical systems
• Integrate electrical works with bridge structural components and coordinate with civil, structural and mechanical teams on sequencing
• Coordinate with DEWA for supply connections, inspections and NOC approvals, and liaise with other authorities and utility providers
• Take part in coordination meetings on service diversions, protection works and interface issues
• Maintain inspection and test records, prepare daily and weekly progress report inputs, and support punch lists and handover documentation
• Guide and supervise electrical inspectors, identify issues early and promote HSE compliance on site

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the UAE
• BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of local authority procedures, standards and regulations in the UAE
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
