Electrical Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Estimation Engineer will join the estimation team in Abu Dhabi, reporting to the Estimation Manager. You will be responsible for managing the full tender lifecycle, from receiving RFQs to delivering successful bid submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse RFQ tender documents, identify scope, design issues and raise RFIs as needed.
• Act as the technical expert on assigned tenders, providing guidance to trade estimators, procurement and site teams.
• Prepare BOQ from design drawings, estimate and confirm quantities, and update pricing databases.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, maintaining up‑to‑date profiles.
• Produce reports and presentations on project status, progress and challenges.
• Lead regular progress meetings to resolve issues and ensure alignment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5‑10 years of experience as an Estimation Engineer in an MEP or electromechanical company.
• Strong electrical technical knowledge and understanding of construction processes.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks and communicate effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quantity take‑off tools such as Plan swift.
• AutoCAD competency.
• Advanced Excel computation skills.
• General Microsoft Office proficiency.
