Electrical Inspector – QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The Electrical Inspector will join the QA/QC Engineering team within the Building & Infrastructure (Construction) department. Reporting to the Head of Department, the role ensures that all electrical works meet the project’s quality standards, contractual requirements and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of the Project Quality Delivery Plan, integrating technical quality assurance, construction and fabrication quality, ITPs and inspections.
• Review contractor quality and testing submissions for compliance with contract specifications.
• Conduct surveillance activities on contractor’s electrical construction to verify adherence to approved methods and materials.
• Provide guidance to the quality department and engineering staff on critical quality issues.
• Assist senior construction staff in monitoring and closing non‑conformances.
• Report quality performance at construction meetings and ensure the approved PQP is fully implemented.
• Inspect site works against the latest approved drawings, specifications and project documents.
• Represent the team in technical meetings and manage inspection requests efficiently.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferably with a postgraduate degree in management).
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC management experience in construction, preferably with consulting firms.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Lead Auditor certification in QMS ISO 9001:2008 or higher.
• Training in QA/QC management and project management.
