Electrical Inspector – Roads & Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to oversee electrical works on roads and infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and local authority regulations while supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of street lighting, LV networks, feeders, and related control systems.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, ITPs and as‑built drawings for conformance with DEWA, RTA and Dubai Municipality standards.
• Witness and record electrical testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance, continuity and earth resistance tests.
• Issue inspection requests, non‑conformance reports and corrective action requests, and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Coordinate with site supervision, contractors and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and support progress monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical Inspector on roads or infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of local authority regulations (DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality) and IEC/BS standards.

Required skills

• Street lighting and LV distribution system inspection.
• Electrical testing procedures (insulation resistance, continuity, earth resistance).
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, single‑line diagrams and cable routing layouts.
• Quality control documentation: ITP, NCR, inspection reports.
• Use of standard office software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
