Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisor to lead construction activities on oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing installation, testing and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all E&I construction activities on site, including cable tray installation, cable pulling, glanding, termination and testing.
• Plan and allocate daily tasks for electricians, instrument technicians and subcontractors, and monitor progress against schedule.
• Oversee installation of panels, transformers, switchgear, motors, lighting, earthing, field instruments, junction boxes, control panels, impulse tubing and instrument air piping.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, hazardous-area and explosion-protection requirements, and coordinate with civil, mechanical, piping, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
• Support instrument calibration, loop checking, functional testing and commissioning, and prepare daily reports, manpower records and material requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics or related engineering discipline.
• 8-10 years of experience in E&I construction and commissioning, with at least five years on oil & gas projects.
• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC, preferably on ADNOC projects.
• Strong supervisory, communication and coordination skills, able to lead multicultural teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, F&G and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, P&IDs and hook-up drawings.
• Understanding of hazardous-area classifications and Ex equipment.
• Familiarity with PTW, LOTO and oil & gas safety procedures.
