Electrical & Instrumentation Technician – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician will join the Operations/Manufacturing workshop of Magnum Technology Center in Dubai. The role involves assembling, installing, calibrating, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining and commissioning electrical and instrumentation systems for oil & gas process packages, well‑testing equipment and modular process units.

Key responsibilities

• Install, wire and terminate electrical panels, junction boxes, control systems and cable trays.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and single‑line schematics.
• Perform cable pulling, glanding, termination and conduct continuity, insulation resistance and loop tests.
• Install, calibrate and commission field instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow, level transmitters, gauges, control valves, switches and sensors.
• Carry out instrument loop checks, functional testing and assist with PLC/SCADA interface activities.
• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), pre‑commissioning and commissioning, recording test results.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults and replace faulty components to minimise downtime.
• Follow HSE policies, LOTO procedures and maintain workshop housekeeping.

Required profile

• Diploma or ITI in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics or Industrial Instrumentation engineering.
• 3 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in electrical and instrumentation work within oil & gas, EPC or process equipment manufacturing.
• Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
