Electrical Maintenance Technician – Nuclear Power Plant

About the role

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the safe and reliable operation of its nuclear power plant. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on safety‑critical and non‑safety electrical systems, structures and components.

Key responsibilities

• Execute planned and corrective electrical maintenance on Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) equipment such as motors, motor‑generator sets, Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) motors, motor‑operated valves (MOVs), crane and lighting systems.
• Maintain Balance‑of‑Plant (BOP) electrical assets including power transformers, Gas Insulated Bus (GIB), switchgear, protective relays, electrical motors, diesel generator sets, UPS systems and MOVs.
• Prepare and stage work activities, including procurement of spare parts and special tools, to ensure tasks are properly resourced.
• Participate in pre‑ and post‑job briefings, supervise maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with Nawah maintenance standards.
• Document equipment history, update material master data, and perform periodic surveillance tests to verify system performance.
• Conduct troubleshooting and investigations to resolve electrical issues promptly and safely.
• Support staff training, qualification programs and outage/emergency response activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within industrial or power generation environments.
• Familiarity with nuclear plant safety and reliability procedures.
• Ability to work under strict safety codes and follow maintenance conduct guidelines.
• Strong documentation skills and proficiency with material management systems.
