Electrical Maintenance Technician (Nuclear Power Plant)

About the role

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will carry out safety‑critical and non‑safety electrical maintenance on plant systems, structures and components. The role ensures high equipment reliability and supports the safe operation of the nuclear power plant.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and corrective electrical maintenance on Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) equipment such as motors, motor‑generator sets, Reactor Coolant Pump (RCP) motors, motor‑operated valves (MOVs), crane and lighting systems.
• Maintain Balance‑of‑Plant (BOP) electrical assets including power transformers, Gas Insulated Bus (GIB), switchgear, protective relays, electrical motors, diesel generator sets, UPS systems and MOVs.
• Prepare and stage maintenance work, including procurement of spare parts and special tools.
• Attend pre‑ and post‑job briefings, supervise maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with Nawah standards.
• Document equipment history, update material master data, and execute periodic surveillance tests.
• Conduct troubleshooting and investigations to resolve electrical issues promptly.
• Support staff training, qualification programs, and outage/emergency response activities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or power‑generation environment.
• Ability to follow strict safety and reliability procedures.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Willingness to work in a regulated, high‑risk setting and support training initiatives.
