Electrical Project Engineer - Intermediate Level

About the role

Jones Engineering Group is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead the design, development and coordination of electrical systems on multidisciplinary projects across the United Arab Emirates. The role involves producing detailed designs, collaborating with BIM teams and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Fully design electrical systems from concept to detailed design, covering MV/LV switchgear, cabling, containment, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, BMS and more.
• Ensure all drawings and specifications meet local authority requirements (SEC/DEWA/ADMCC/ADDC) and standards such as BS, IEC and NFPA.
• Provide technical input to BIM coordination, preparing single‑line diagrams and integrated drawings.
• Review existing design documents and calculations for accuracy and completeness.
• Raise and follow up on RFIs to clarify client or consultant queries.
• Collaborate with the Technical Director to present designs and manage changes arising from site conditions or MEP interfaces.

Required profile

• At least 60 months (5 years) of experience in electrical engineering design and project coordination.
• Intermediate‑level expertise in MV/LV system design and integration.
