Electrical QA/QC Engineer – Life Safety & ELV Systems

About the role

We are urgently seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join a project in Ajman, UAE. The role focuses on quality control for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) and Life Safety systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards and UAE Civil Defense codes.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily site inspections of ELV and Life Safety installations, including conduits, containment, cabling and device termination.
• Raise Inspection Requests, conduct walk‑throughs with consultants/clients and obtain official approvals.
• Carry out Material Receiving Inspections to verify that delivered components match approved submittals and are defect‑free.
• Identify field deviations, issue Non‑Conformance Reports and track corrective actions to closure.
• Implement and maintain the project Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) and quality control procedures.
• Review and approve subcontractor method statements, risk assessments and quality records.
• Maintain accurate quality logs, inspection registers and progressive handover documentation.
• Monitor pre‑commissioning and final testing of fire alarm and emergency lighting networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience with ELV and Life Safety systems in a QA/QC, testing or construction role.
• Minimum 2 years of UAE project experience.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm and emergency lighting systems and relevant UAE Civil Defense codes.
• Immediate availability to deploy to the Ajman site.
