Electrical Technician - High Voltage & Low Voltage

About the role

Shou'alah is hiring a full-time Electrical Technician in Dubai. The technician carries out high voltage and low voltage work on electrical apparatus across the site and keeps the plant running according to production schedules and requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on transformers, generators, HV and LV equipment and panels, pumps, conveyors, fans and similar plant.
• Follow the permit-to-work system, method statements and safety instructions; read electrical drawings, O&M manuals and relevant information.
• Complete assigned work correctly and on schedule, update work order progress reports and leave the site clear of used parts, debris and tools.
• Report accidents, incidents and property damage, and report breaches of HSE procedures to management.
• Attend QHSE inspections, audits and assessments, conduct risk assessments and comply with national and local electrical codes.
• Act as part of the Energy Management Team, collecting and monitoring energy data for ISO 50001 energy reviews, proposing energy-saving measures and helping meet site energy efficiency targets.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• HSE-accredited training.
• At least 3 years of experience as an electrician technician in the power industry.
• Familiarity with HSE standards and electrical plant equipment.
• Intermediate English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Advantageous: use of a CMMS and Windows-related software.
