Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Testing & Commissioning Engineer with 10–12 years of experience in electrical testing of HV substation equipment within Oil & Gas, EPC, or utilities. The role supports a high‑impact contract opportunity in the UAE offshore energy sector, leading pre‑commissioning, FAT witnessing, and comprehensive testing across HV/MV/LV substation infrastructure up to 132/220 kV while ensuring strict adherence to international standards, safety protocols, and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑commissioning activities for HV/MV/LV substation infrastructure.
• Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and conduct comprehensive testing up to 132/220 kV.

Required profile

• 10–12 years experience in electrical testing of HV substation equipment within Oil & Gas, EPC or utilities.
• Advanced proficiency with GIS/AIS switchgear, power transformers and protection relay testing (OMICRON).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; relevant certifications (NETA, UAE SoE) preferred.
• Willingness to work on offshore oil & gas facilities in the UAE.
