Electro-Optics Technician

About the role

We are looking for an Electro‑Optics Technician to join our team in Abu Dhabi, supporting the assembly, testing and maintenance of optical and electro‑optical systems for defense and space applications.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and disassemble mechanical and optical sub‑assemblies, mount optical elements and install them on optical benches.
• Troubleshoot EO systems, including power supplies, optics and control units, following approved procedures.
• Perform calibration, alignment, functional checks and acceptance testing, including ESS testing and return‑to‑service activities.
• Operate alignment and test equipment such as autocollimators, interferometers, beam profilers and spectrophotometers.
• Document maintenance activities, test results and assembly records in accordance with quality requirements.
• Follow safety, clean‑room and contamination‑control procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with senior technicians, engineers and cross‑functional teams during integration and testing.

Required profile

• Diploma or college graduate in Electronics, Optics, Mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Basic understanding of electro‑optical systems or optical components (training provided).
• Good manual dexterity, attention to detail and advanced English proficiency.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of safety and clean‑room practices is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under guidance and as part of a team.
