About the role

GEMS American Academy is seeking a passionate Elementary Inclusion Teacher to join its vibrant community in Abu Dhabi starting August 2026. The role involves delivering the American curriculum and IB continuum while fostering an inclusive, inquiry‑based learning environment for all students.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons that incorporate inquiry‑based learning.
• Differentiate instruction to support English Language Learners, gifted and talented students, and those with special educational needs.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom culture that promotes collaboration, curiosity and well‑being.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching approaches to enhance learning experiences.
• Assess student progress using authentic methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning and curriculum development.
• Participate in co‑curricular and community programmes to support holistic development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state licence or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching elementary inclusion, preferably within an American or IB curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative, reflective approach.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing to an inclusive school culture.
