Emergency Medicine Consultant - UAE

About the role

A leading healthcare provider in the UAE is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join a high‑acuity emergency, trauma and resuscitation service. The role offers exposure to a diverse patient population in a modern, multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead assessment and stabilisation of emergency, trauma, cardiac, medical, surgical and paediatric cases.
• Manage resuscitation, airway management, procedural sedation and critical decision‑making in the ED.
• Tri­age complex cases, supervise emergency teams and coordinate specialist referrals.
• Ensure safe patient flow, observation unit decisions, transfers and discharge planning.
• Participate in disaster preparedness, trauma protocols, simulation training and clinical governance.
• Maintain accurate documentation, medico‑legal compliance and patient safety standards.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Emergency Medicine specialist with recognised board certification.
• Strong clinical judgement, commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE licensing, documentation and hospital governance requirements.
• Interest in long‑term career development within a premium UAE health system.
