Emirati Faculty Appointment in Clinical Medicine

About the role

The College of Medicine at MBRU is seeking applications for Emirati faculty appointments in clinical medicine. The role holder carries out academic functions within the College under the directives of the Dean, supporting the educational, clinical service, community service, scholarship and research functions so that students meet graduation requirements, and takes on other assignments needed to achieve the College's strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Teaching: develop and prepare courses with goals, objectives, content and assessment; run pedagogical and training sessions; assess students; mentor and supervise students, including on-site clinical supervision where applicable; provide clinical services in the medical facility as required.
• Scholarship: engage in research aligned with the College's goals and the country's needs, attract research grants, publish in high-impact journals and take part in international conferences.
• Professional service: contribute to improving the health status of the community.
• University service: represent the College on committees and support academic operations.
• Community service: build relationships with external partners and offer continuing professional development for colleagues.

Required profile

• Certificate of completion of training, board certification or equivalent.
• Desirable: academic experience as a medical educator and/or researcher at a recognized university (at least five years for Associate Professor, ten years for Full Professor).
• Desirable: significant experience in undergraduate medical education, including designing, delivering and assessing teaching.
• Desirable: proven independent research experience and a track record in medical education.
