About the role
The Emirati Teacher Assistant supports teaching staff by handling non‑teaching tasks and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children in schools and pre‑schools.
Key responsibilities
- Perform non‑teaching duties to assist teachers in daily classroom operations.
- Supervise and participate in activities that promote physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.
- Prepare indoor and outdoor learning and recreational areas.
- Assist children with intellectual, physical, behavioural or other learning difficulties.
- Help children develop social skills through individual support.
- Prepare, copy, collate and distribute teaching materials.
- Operate audiovisual equipment, computers and other teaching aides.
Required profile
- Ability to work with children of various ages and needs.
- Willingness to support teachers and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
