Engineer, Energy Management

About the role

The Energy Management Engineer will monitor and report on energy practices across ADNOC’s plants and operations, ensuring alignment with efficiency targets. You will support the development of energy standards, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement in energy performance.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate emissions, flaring, energy savings and consumption for all operations and projects.
• Analyse energy‑efficiency data and provide performance insights.
• Recommend and report energy‑related updates to management and relevant teams.
• Advise on deviations from energy‑efficiency targets for equipment, processes or projects.
• Develop energy limits and standards for assets, transportation, material handling and machining.
• Design energy reports, forms and templates; maintain up‑to‑date energy records.
• Conduct energy audits to ensure compliance with company policies and international standards.
• Participate in the deployment and certification of Energy Management Systems (ISO 50001) and ADNOC Code of Practice.
• Communicate energy objectives, train operational focal points and create training materials.
• Draft communications on energy targets and collaborate with the training department on annual plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering/technical discipline.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in process, environmental or chemical‑related roles.
• Strong understanding of energy balances and energy‑efficiency calculations.
