Engineer - Facilities

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will lead the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs, facility inspections, and reliability initiatives to ensure optimal performance of Abu Dhabi facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance and inspection programs to reduce costs and improve availability.
• Supervise assigned personnel, review work orders, and prioritize routine and preventive tasks.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot root causes, and ensure compliance with contractual KPIs and ISO/QHSE standards.
• Manage subcontractor services, ensure proper PPE and tools, and oversee training aligned with operational needs.
• Drive process improvements, digital transformation, and energy conservation plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (preferred) and MMUP certification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in operations and maintenance within facilities management, preferably in the UAE or Gulf region.
• Strong organizational, supervisory and leadership abilities with good verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience with facilities management software tools.
• Understanding of ISO, OHSAS and audit requirements.
