Engineer – Operations and Maintenance

About the role

The Central Bank of the UAE is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Engineer to lead operations and maintenance across its headquarters and branch facilities. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability of critical building systems and specialised processing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems and specialised equipment such as banknote processing machines.
• Conduct regular inspections, early detection of irregularities, and prompt resolution of safety or maintenance issues.
• Provide first‑line technical support for critical systems and respond to employee requests and complaints.
• Perform energy audits and implement energy‑saving initiatives to improve building efficiency.
• Ensure preventive planned maintenance (PPM) is executed on schedule according to manufacturer guidelines and contract requirements.
• Monitor service provider performance against SLAs, KPIs, and scope of work, coordinating with vendors and OEMs.
• Verify work quality, method statements, permits, and safety compliance before acceptance.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports covering PPM status, breakdowns, incidents, and equipment performance.

Required profile

• Seasoned professional with strong motivation and experience in facility operations.
• Proven ability to manage service providers and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and specialist service providers.
• Familiarity with local authority regulations and statutory requirements (e.g., Civil Defense, gas authorities).
• Commitment to HSE policies, risk assessments, and safe working practices.
