Engineer, Procurement & Contracts (Project Support Team - Gas Ops)

About the role

The Engineer, Procurement & Contracts will support major and technical projects within the Gas Operations division. You will manage end‑to‑end procurement and contract activities, ensuring alignment with project objectives and safeguarding the company's interests.

Key responsibilities

• Develop contractual strategies and provide timely input for project requirements.
• Prepare, update, and modify contracts and related documents to mitigate operational, financial, and legal risks.
• Conduct procurement from pre‑qualification through recommendation for award, following approved policies.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks through effective terms and conditions.
• Review scopes of work to avoid misinterpretations, variations, and claims.
• Prepare contractual responses to contractor issues during tendering and execution.
• Negotiate changes, variations, and claims to minimise impact.
• Coordinate material availability and support contract close‑out and issuance of completion certificates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of procurement and contracts experience in oil & gas projects.
• Strong understanding of contract terms, commercial acumen, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with standard industry contracting forms and their effects.
• Experience in both pre‑award and post‑award phases.
• Exposure to commercial and legal issues affecting project delivery.
