Engineering Faculty – Aviation

About the role

Provide effective instruction in general faculty subjects and at least two specific areas of the aviation engineering program to second‑language learners, while actively participating in academic and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver applied teaching aligned with course syllabi and program goals.
• Develop and use educational technology resources to enhance learning.
• Assess student progress through tests, projects, assignments and provide continuous feedback.
• Advise and mentor students, including support during internships and at‑risk action plans.
• Conduct applied research relevant to aviation engineering and the national innovation agenda.
• Participate in faculty, program and system‑wide committees and serve as sponsor or adviser to student groups.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least five years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree may be considered with extensive industry experience.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
• At least three years of relevant industry experience, preferably in aviation engineering.
• Experience developing curriculum that meets accreditation and international standards.
• Proven ability to incorporate educational technology into instruction.
