Engineering Intern – Industrial Services

About the role

Support the Industrial Services team in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of utility systems such as compressed air, process water, chilled water, steam, and gas, while contributing to preventive maintenance, safety documentation, and sustainability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and update safety documentation, PPE matrix, and visual controls.
• Support implementation and sustainability of 5S practices and maintain visual standards and checklists.
• Maintain accurate records related to safety controls, PPE requirements, visual management, and 5S activities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support safety, compliance, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of utility systems, ensuring supply within required parameters.
• Participate in preventive maintenance activities for utility equipment.
• Support energy and water reduction projects and other continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree student or recent graduate in an engineering discipline.
• Strong interest in industrial services, utilities, maintenance, and manufacturing operations.
• Basic knowledge of industrial safety practices and risk management.
• Familiarity with 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or continuous improvement is an advantage.
• Effective communicator with ability to collaborate across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
