Engineering Manager – Project Engineering

About the role

The Project Engineering Manager will lead and manage the entire engineering function for a major project, ensuring timely delivery of all engineering deliverables and full compliance with technical specifications and standards. Reporting to the Project Director, the role requires seamless integration across multiple disciplines and alignment with procurement, fabrication, and construction requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Engineering Execution Plan (EEP) and define the engineering work breakdown structure (WBS) and deliverable schedule.
• Ensure timely preparation, review, and approval of design calculations, drawings, specifications, datasheets, and material requisitions.
• Lead coordination across process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines, resolving interdisciplinary design conflicts.
• Maintain engineering quality assurance by complying with project quality plans, customer standards, and international codes (ASME, API, ISO, IEC).
• Support procurement by issuing material requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor documents.
• Provide construction and fabrication support, addressing field engineering queries and technical issues on site.
• Assist offshore installation and commissioning, ensuring readiness of system documentation and as‑built updates.
• Identify and manage engineering interfaces with internal disciplines and external contractors, coordinating with the Interface Manager.
• Integrate engineering schedules with overall project controls and ensure alignment with project milestones.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage a multi‑disciplinary engineering team.
• Experience developing and executing an Engineering Execution Plan.
• Strong capability in coordinating interdisciplinary design efforts and resolving interface issues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of international engineering codes: ASME, API, ISO, IEC.
• Expertise in preparing design calculations, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Experience with material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Interface management across multiple engineering disciplines.
