Engineering Supervisor – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor will lead the daily operations of the Engineering Department at La Suite Dubai Hotel, ensuring all hotel facilities, equipment and systems are maintained to the highest standards. This role supports the Cluster Director of Engineering and Assistant Engineering Manager in delivering a safe, comfortable and operational environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily engineering and maintenance activities across the hotel, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, kitchen, laundry and building systems operate effectively.
• Assign, monitor and inspect work performed by technicians and contractors, and respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
• Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programmes, conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas and plant rooms, and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and fire‑life safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and equipment logs, and assist with budgeting, project planning and contractor management.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of engineering or maintenance experience in the hospitality industry, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical equipment, and familiarity with preventive maintenance and workplace safety requirements.
