Engineering Technician

About the role

The Engineering Technician provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for hotel guests and facilities. You will ensure equipment reliability, safety compliance, and a high level of guest satisfaction through timely interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on kitchen, mechanical room, and other equipment.
• Inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary tools and radios.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities and equipment.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, AC filters, electrical switches, outlets and program TVs.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment and energy conservation.
• Ability to follow safety and security policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Physical capability to lift, move and carry objects up to 50 lb and perform manual tasks.
