English Teacher

About the role

The International School of Choueifat seeks an enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum, support student achievement, and foster a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach using provided lesson plans and develop plans when needed, applying the SABIS® point system.
• Mark exams according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a conducive classroom atmosphere.
• Invigilate exams and ensure a properly managed exam environment.
• Support low‑performing students to improve motivation and results.
• Prepare students for external exams by reviewing past papers as scheduled.
• Assist with testing, substitute teaching, lunch and bus organization, traffic control, and other administrative duties.
• Participate in student‑life activities such as art, open house, and physical education events.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.
• Perform other related tasks delegated by school management.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree in a related subject or equivalent.
• Native or proficient English speaker.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
