Equipment Operator – Pushback Specialist

About the role

The Equipment Operator (Pushback) ensures safe and efficient ramp operations by operating ground support equipment (GSE) and assisting with aircraft turnaround activities. You will work closely with flight crews, ground teams, and airline partners to execute pushback, towing, and cargo handling tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Operate any GSE you are trained on, following standard operating procedures.
• Perform pre‑operation checks to confirm equipment is in good working condition.
• Inspect cargo holds and surrounding areas for abnormalities, missing or damaged parts, and unidentified items.
• Assist with loading and unloading baggage and cargo.
• Communicate with flight crew and ground teams via headset during pushback and towing operations.
• Report safety, security, service occurrences, hazards and near‑misses using established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, Velora policies, and airline guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid UAE driver’s licence.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as an equipment operator in an airport or similar environment.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety instructions accurately.

Required skills

• Ground Service Equipment (GSE) operation.
• Aircraft pushback and towing procedures.
• Use of handheld devices and communication headsets.
• Basic cargo inspection and handling.
