Estimation Engineer - Civil Infrastructure

About the role

aasa is hiring a full-time Estimation Engineer for civil infrastructure projects. The role covers preparing detailed cost estimates and tender documents in line with EPC standards, working closely with procurement, planning, engineering and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tender drawings, IFC drawings and technical specifications to understand project scope and requirements
• Prepare detailed, accurate and competitive cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects in line with EPC standards
• Perform quantity take-offs (QTO) and develop comprehensive BOQs with high accuracy and commercial clarity
• Develop detailed rate analysis for earthworks, excavation, pipeline works, roadworks and associated civil activities
• Evaluate and analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations for best-value selection
• Identify scope gaps, design inconsistencies, risks and commercial exposures in tender documents
• Prepare cost breakdowns and summaries to support bid/no-bid and tender strategy decisions
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, engineering and site teams on accurate cost inputs
• Support high-quality, competitive EPC-level tender submissions
• Track and analyze market rates for materials, labor, equipment and subcontract services
• Assist in post-tender clarifications, value engineering proposals and commercial negotiations
• Maintain and improve cost databases for benchmarking and future project optimization

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience in civil infrastructure estimation
• UAE experience preferred
