About the role
The Estimation Engineer will support tender preparation by reviewing documents, performing quantity take‑offs, and developing cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment. This role collaborates closely with engineering, procurement, planning, operations, and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
Key responsibilities
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and client requirements.
- Prepare tender queries and seek clarifications from clients.
- Perform quantity take‑offs for materials, labour and equipment.
- Obtain and analyse quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Develop material, labour, equipment and subcontract costs and prepare preliminary and detailed cost estimates.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, pricing sheets, bid summaries and cost breakdowns.
- Maintain estimation databases, cost records and historical project data.
Required profile
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Knowledge of cost estimation techniques and project execution.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
