Executive - Accounts Payable

About the role

This role ensures accurate, timely and compliant processing of Accounts Payable transactions. It covers verifying supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, supporting payments and month-end activities, resolving discrepancies and maintaining strong financial controls and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, including three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipt notes and invoices.
• Prepare AP reconciliations, month-end reports, accruals, payment proposals, cash-flow requirements and AP ageing analysis within set timelines.
• Review supplier advances, open purchase orders, pending invoices and GRNs, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, delegated authority, UAE VAT requirements, statutory obligations, audit standards and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with business units, suppliers, consultants, contractors and intercompany stakeholders, including regular operational visits to Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
• Support finance-process automation, accurate record keeping, audits and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Two to five years of experience in Accounts Payable, general accounting, finance operations or a similar finance role.
• UAE educational, cultural or professional exposure is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of AP processes, invoice verification, three-way matching, supplier reconciliations, accruals, ageing analysis and month-end closing.
• Understanding of financial controls, delegated authority, audit requirements, UAE VAT regulations and statutory compliance.
• ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Ariba.
• Advanced Excel, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis and financial reporting.
