Executive Director, Government & Public Sector

About the role

The Executive Director will manage and grow the client portfolio within the Investment Banking Government & Public Sector division, ensuring high service quality and supervising daily activities of the team. The role is responsible for meeting revenue targets while maintaining client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Translate functional strategy into departmental business plans, ensuring vertical alignment and horizontal integration.
• Collaborate with Managing Directors to develop strategies that increase the bank’s share of target clients’ wallet.
• Work closely with product teams and other stakeholders to maximize business opportunities and streamline deal execution.
• Lead talent development initiatives and act as a role model for organizational values and ethics.
• Own P&L for the assigned portfolio, achieving targets within defined budget levels.
• Ensure compliance with CIB policies, procedures, and controls while delivering cost‑effective services.
• Originate new business opportunities, develop term sheets, information memoranda, financial models and mandate letters.
• Maintain credit quality of client relationships and oversee timely credit reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related discipline (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in investment banking.
• Strong knowledge of the banking sector and FAB’s products and strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Proficiency in computer applications and banking software systems.
