About the role

The Expansion Visual Merchandiser Specialist will support IKEA’s growth in the United Arab Emirates by adapting global visual standards to local market needs. This role ensures the brand’s visual identity is maintained while driving sales and profitability through innovative store presentations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed commercial plans for assigned areas during planning and build‑up phases.
• Support the Expansion Visual Merchandising Manager in executing the country business plan for new stores.
• Ensure IKEA’s brand identity is unique in range presentation and store communication.
• Develop visual solutions that reflect diverse style expressions and stimulate customer interest.
• Assist in store layout development to maximise visual impact and commercial priorities.
• Collaborate with service‑office colleagues to align national priorities and create comprehensive product presentation solutions.
• Utilise range‑presentation tools tailored to national demographics and visitor needs.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of local market trends and consumer behaviour.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in visual merchandising, retail design or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of local consumer behaviour and market trends.
• Proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
