External Auditor – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Vertix Auditing is seeking a fully qualified External Auditor to join its head office in Abu Dhabi. You will conduct independent audits of client financial statements in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and local regulations, while also providing bookkeeping and accounting support for clients in the UAE and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and finalize external audits for a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.
• Review financial statements, records, and transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Assess internal controls, identify weaknesses, and recommend improvements.
• Perform substantive testing, analytical procedures, and risk assessments.
• Document audit findings clearly and prepare professional audit reports.
• Communicate audit issues and recommendations effectively with client management and stakeholders.
• Ensure audits are completed within agreed timelines and meet quality standards.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, auditing standards, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, ACA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in an audit firm, preferably with a reputable firm.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and relevant UAE laws.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
