Facilities Coordinator Intern (2027)

About the role

Amazon is looking for a Facilities Coordinator Intern to support the maintenance team at a Fulfilment Centre in the United Arab Emirates. The intern will help lead and coach Facility Supervisors, oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programmes, and ensure equipment availability to maximise site productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and provide leadership to Facility Supervisors.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance plans for material handling and automation systems.
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot electrical, control and mechanical systems, including relay logic, ladder diagrams, sensors and motor starters.
• Promote safety across the team and manage day‑to‑day engineering, housekeeping and waste‑management compliance.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme with graduation expected between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Available to work full‑time (40 h/week) for 3–6 months starting any time in 2027.

Required skills

• Bearing and belt maintenance.
• Relay logic, ladder diagrams and control components.
• Electrical troubleshooting of motor starters, relays and limit switches.
• Experience with sensors, scanners, frequency inverters, servo drives and linear drives.
