F&B Shift Leader

About the role

As an F&B Shift Leader at Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, you will ensure smooth operations in the food and beverage department, coordinating tasks for hotel functions and events. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness, communicate guest dietary needs to the kitchen, and lead the team to deliver flawless service.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close shifts according to departmental checklists and ensure all service standards are met.
• Train staff on Marriott service standards, monitor performance, and enforce compliance.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment and oversee inventory of supplies, food, and liquor.
• Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO usage, and cleanliness, correcting any deficiencies.
• Provide floor coverage during all meal periods and address guest feedback promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a five‑star hotel.
• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, bending, and prolonged standing.
• Strong verbal communication skills with guests and co‑workers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience using the Symphony property management system.
