FDE Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure & AI Solutions

About the role

We are looking for an experienced FDE Engineer to design, build, and operate Azure‑based infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code. You will work directly with clients in the UAE, translating business needs into secure, scalable cloud solutions and AI‑enabled workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Define Azure resources (App Services, databases, storage) with Terraform or Bicep and manage them via version‑controlled Git repositories.
• Own CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, ensuring automated build, test, and deployment with zero‑downtime releases.
• Implement deployment strategies such as blue‑green or canary, with rollback capabilities and production monitoring.
• Enforce security and compliance through secrets management, network isolation, encryption, and audit logging to meet UAE data residency requirements.
• Set up observability (alerting, logging, metrics) and incident response processes for rapid issue resolution.
• Collaborate daily with clients to explain AI concepts, identify value‑adding opportunities, and prototype solutions.
• Design high‑availability architectures, multi‑region failover, and disaster‑recovery plans with defined RTO/RPO targets.
• Optimize cloud costs through right‑sizing, auto‑scaling, and regular cost reviews.
• Containerize applications, manage Docker images in Azure Container Registry, and orchestrate workloads with AKS or App Service containers.
• Implement secrets management using Azure Key Vault and Managed Identities, ensuring no hard‑coded credentials.

Required profile

• Strong client‑facing communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Proven experience designing and operating Azure cloud environments at scale.
• Hands‑on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes (AKS), and Docker best practices.
• Solid understanding of security, compliance, and observability in cloud settings.
