Field Engineer – Drilling Fluids QA/QC

About the role

The Field Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of drilling fluids, chemicals and additives used across our oilfield operations. You will work closely with commercial, stores, and service teams to maintain high standards of safety, environmental compliance and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control QA/QC of all drilling and completion chemicals, brines and related products.
• Maintain accurate QA‑QC records and perform spot checks in stores, rigs and supplier facilities.
• Verify proper storage, handling, HSE procedures and document control.
• Analyse chemical consumption, investigate abnormalities and establish quarterly requirements.
• Conduct laboratory pilot tests for troubleshooting and new fluid formulations.
• Perform audits of supplier stores, tender evaluations and HSE/quality audits.
• Provide chemical input for Well Value Assurance and update technical manuals.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years (72 months) of experience in oilfield chemical QA/QC or related field.
• Strong knowledge of drilling fluids, chemical specifications and waste management.
• Familiarity with HSE procedures and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced field environment.
